My 5 Year Blog Birthday: Impromptu Giveaway

5th blog birthdayFebruary 22, 2008 – When It All Started

Last Friday this blog celebrated it’s 5th birthday.  I thought the best way to celebrate 5 years blogging here on Losing It and Loving It was with an impromptu giveaway.

One lucky winner is going to get a box of goodies from me. I have no clue yet what exactly will be in that box but it will probably contain a workout DVD or two, a healthy living book and more.  AND my good friend Diana has kindly offered to give you a copy of her very popular Craving Secrets ebook. I have had this book for years and it’s great.

I’m doing this to THANK all of you for being with me over the last 5 years and for making this blog a success. I get so much inspiration from so many of you to keep the blog going and to keep pushing through to live the best life possible. I still have a long way to go but without all of you, my Polar USA and FitFluential peeps and my family & friends, I would not have made it this far.

So I wanted to celebrate all of YOU with a little impromptu giveaway. Just a little way to say thanks!

No huge steps to jump through to enter, just answer one or more of the following questions and share this post with your friends and family.  That’s all.

My big questions:

  • What is your favorite workout?
  • Do you like to cook?  If so, what is your favorite EASY recipe?
  • If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?
  • What would you like to see more of on my blog?

Giveaway Info:

This giveaway is open to everyone.  IF a winner outside of the U.S. is chosen,  you will get a gift card instead of the goodie box.

Required entry:  Answer at least one of the questions above (but more than one would be fun to read *wink*)

Additional daily entry:  Share this post on your favorite social channel, blog, etc.

Separate comments for each entry please.  You can enter up to midnight Eastern on Tuesday March 5th.  Winner will be chosen by random.org on Wednesday, March 6th.

Have fun!

P.S. And here’s a deal for you. Ellie mixes essential fashion-forward looks with high-tech performance activewear for the most stylish fitness experience.

Happy 5th Bloggaversary! Such a lot of work and dedication on your part… I am a regular reader and get your newsletters too and appreciate the work and information that you put into them.

I have just won a one-month gym membership so I am currently loving some classes I take there… Body Pump and Flow Yoga especially.

Yes, I love to cook… so I do 2 blogs, one dedicated to food and recipes… and I have always wanted to visit some Greek Islands… my husband went to Greece before we met and we would love to go there together.

I am in Canada, as you may remember, so a gift card to celebrate your special day would be lovely!

Happy Anniversary. How exciting! I would be going on 4 years with my old blog, but I am loving my new blog. Anyway, to your questions:
What is your favorite workout? Boot Camp
Do you like to cook? I really don’t like to cook so I love easy one-pot recipes.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? I am lucky that I have been many places. My father lives in Thailand and I have not been to visit. That is where I would like to go next.

What is your favorite workout? My most favorite workout is a boot camp with some tire flips and maybe some sledge hammer swinging.
Do you like to cook? If so, what is your favorite EASY recipe? No I am not a good cook. My best recipe is tacos according to my son.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? I would be at the beach… in the middle of nowhere with just my friends and family around and my doggies too!
What would you like to see more of on my blog? I can’t get enough giveaways! I love being introduced to new products!!! And i love the chance to win some of my favorites!

Happy 5th Anniversary !!!! One of my favorite exercises is doing ZUMBA another thing that I just now started really enjoying is running. I never thought I would be “THAT” person ;) . I LOVE cooking something super easy is “loaded baked sweet potato” I just bake the sweet potato & chicken breast, cut the chicken up , scoop the sweet potato out mix with the chicken add broccoli put it back in skin add some Greek yogurt & cheddar cheese. I would love to go to Bali.

    Happy Anniversary!
We recently joined Planet Fitness and they offer various small-size classes. Any of those classes are my favorite type of workout. Having a trainer that uses free weights and the tower is a huge help! She helps me with form, and free weights force you to stabilize better than the machines. I love doing it under the supervision of a professional.

I love to cook (but not clean it up – wink) – My current favorite easy “recipe” is Mason Jar Salads. We buy fresh veggies at the market on Sunday and prepare salads for the week. Salads on day six are as fresh as day one! I saw how to do this on a YouTube video, tried it and it actually works! The trick is to layer the dressing on the bottom. Then I add matchstick carrots, cubed celery, various lettuce and greens, etc. (Then only thing not to add at this time is croutons.) To seal the Mason Jars, poke a pinhole in the top with a push pin, then take a tiny square of electrical tape losly on top, and use the ZipLoc Vacuum pump (approx. $4 at Walmart) – just pump six or seven times and you are done. Put your prepared jars in the fridge. Then when you are ready to have a salad, take a jar from the fridge, pull off the tape, shake the jar to mix the salad and get the dressing mixed, pop the top (you will hear the vacuum seal undo) and enjoy! (add croutons now if you want)

Happy Birthday to your blog!!! Thanks to you I have signed up for several fitness and weight loss challenges. They keep me motivated to work out and lose weight. You had about 4 or 5 challenges listed in one of your posts a while back. I would really like to see MORE CHALLENGES that are coming up. You can find them alot better than I can.
Thank you for keeping us healthy.
