Thanks for posting. It is so important to remind ourselves to be mindful what we put in our bodies - not to mention the lessons we teach our children in regards to healthy eating!

Veggie burgers sound good!

Regina, you really should eat lunch! And yes it's OK to eat those items for lunch. I'm trying to cut down on bread so I think it's perfect. Just portion out the ranch dressing because that can get you in trouble LOL

Stephanie, we love left overs too!

Lunches...

Our stand-bys are:
* cheese pizza
* noodles with sauce and fresh parmesan cheese
* leftovers from the night before (veggie lasagna, chicken enchiladas, etc.)

We almost always have a fruit and/or vegetable for a side dish too.

<em>Stephanie's last blog post..<a href='http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/metropolitanmama/~3/XtzYJFzJwjY/' rel="nofollow">Wordless Wednesday: Daredevil Daddy</a></em>

Lunch? What's that? LOL!

I have to remember to eat lunch -- most days I skip it especially if I eat a full breakfast. I must say I like the idea of tuna (I'm a big fan) although I don't eat any other seafood.

My question would be, is it okay to eat tuna with a slice of swiss cheese, pickles, a couple of olives, ranch dressing and a slice of tomato? (No bread)

Seriously, I love this combination and if possible would have it for lunch and dinner everyday! LOL!

Lunches for me are usually light - lately, they've been veggie burgers!

Scott,
I am in the middle of checking out your website and it's so neat. You have so many great things there and I never knew you could freeze peanut butter & jelly sandwiches. That will be great since hubby loves them.

LaTara & Daisy, it was my pleasure to host the 1st stop of the tour. I will definitely keep promoting it and hopefully get a chance to review your e-books at some point.

Love me a hummus and veggie sandwich! YUM!

We'd love to share our favorite healthy lunch ideas! When our children started going to school, we brainstormed healthy foods from A to Z with them. As our list grew, we thought about ways to share those good ideas with more people, so we started http://www.lunchtaker.com. We'd love for your readers to come visit, see what options are there, and use the site: you can organize items into lunches to see total calories, save lunches for later, and there's even a lunch food lottery for when you're totally stumped! Thanks!
