Add a little extra

Just adding a little extra exercise here and there can really make a difference.  This week my ‘little extra’ was adding 10 more stability ball crunches from the totals the week before. So instead of 50 I did 60 stability ball crunches.

Here are my workouts for the week and be sure to scroll all the way to the end of this post for some great deals from Sears and an announcement about the mini trampoline challenge coming up next week.

This run was crazy!  My 1st outdoor run and it was hard. I did a bit more warm up than usual and I struggled, ain’t gonna lie.  Hubby did keep pushing me towards the end and I exceeded my goal of 5 running intervals by 3.  I had a hard time breathing at the end and really need to work on that.  One thing that made me really happy was that I felt good even the day after. Hardly any shin pain, oh yeah!

Friday-

*Stability ball crunches
Total: 60

Saturday-

*Stability ball crunches
Total: 60

Sunday-

*Spin class
Time: 1 hr
Calories burned: 661

How did your workouts go this past week?  Did you add a ‘little extra’?

My goals for this week stay the same, I’ll go for 2 days spin, 2 days running and a little extra on the stability ball.

What are your workout goals for the coming week?

P.S.  Here’s a deal that Sears has been having this weekend and you must act fast on this.  The Sears Family & Friends Night Sale ends tomorrow morning at 4 AM BUT if you are out and about tonight, you can get some great in store specials until 9 PM Central.  Here is the flyer (PDF) with coupons so you can see all the great deals.  And here is the in store flyer (PDF) with bonus saving passes.  Check out the VIP contest to see how you can be entered to win up to $1,000 in gift cards by inviting your friends. This contest ends tonight so hurry!

P.S.S  The rebounding/mini trampoline challenge starts next Monday, March 29th and will run for 5 days. The goal is to complete 1 hour of rebounding in that time which averages out to 12 minutes a day. This challenge is meant to get you going on the rebounder trampoline so you can see what a healthy and FUN exercise it can be.  If you don’t have a mini trampoline and can get outside on a full size one by all means go for it but they are much different from each other just so you know.

Let me know if you’ll be joining me in this challenge.  We will be checking in daily over on my Facebook fan page or if you prefer to check in here on the blog I will have a blog post that you can comment on daily.  Hope you’ll join us!

Working out on the rebounder trampoline will get your heart rate up and you’ll feel great!  Be on the lookout for my rebounding posts this next week but in the meantime if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to post here or email me.

  1. Oh good, I haven’t missed the rebounder challenge. I’ll go get one this weekend. So… 12 minutes a day of rebounding – sounds doable. Can’t wait to see how feels.

I’m so glad you’ll be picking up a rebounder this weekend. It’s going to be a simple challenge, no big rules or anything like that. My goal is for people to just see how fun and what a great workout rebounding can me and that really it doesn’t take a ton of time and you can do it while watching TV or talking on the phone!
