Home Gym Workouts This Week

What a great week of workouts! It’s so nice to get back to our home gym after traveling for a while even though I’ll be heading out again at the end of the week on a business trip.

I have every intention to exercise while I am gone.  Whether it be in the hotel room or hotel gym, I am going to do something.  Too bad the pool is outdoors (in Atlanta). This conference I go to is constant go go go but I’m going to take time for myself and get it done! [Read more...]

No Excuses

This week, the first week of 2012 was interesting.  I have been sick since New Year’s Eve so it the week wasn’t too exciting. This post will be short and sweet but I did want to say that I am proud of myself.

If you recall I posted my goals for 2012 and two of them were to keep a food journal AND follow the mantra fitness every day.  Happy to report that I did just that.  Although I was sick, I did very VERY light moves but I did them.

Travel Week Workouts 12/12/11

This week was a travel week so I did the best I could considering I also fell down on some gravel here in FL while on my business trip (I know, clutz lol) and hurt my left leg and knee.  I’ll survive and it’s been a real nice stay here but I’m ready to get home to my hubby and my own bed.  I don’t ever sleep very well without him so I’m exhausted.

Workouts On the Go


We got back from St. Thomas last weekend and I really slacked this week.  While we were there, I did not do any formal exercise as I had planned.  The Marriott did have a real nice workout room but we were gone pretty much from morning to night with excursions like snorkeling, swimming with sea lions and turtles and more.  You can read about our experience on the Marriott blog.  We spent most of our days outdoors in the water and walking around so we counted that as exercise!

Got back to Chicago and we were exhausted so we have been trying to catch up on sleep and getting ready for the next few trips that are planned.  So here are the workouts that did happen this week.
