We are not liking the menu planning thing right now. Having things planned out like we have been has been driving Kev nuts. Maybe once I start doing some meal prep it will be better. Food already made intrigues me although I’m still a bit nervous how fresh it will taste days later.
This week is Kev’s birthday so we are celebrating all week and next. You know how we roll in this household. This menu plan is really play it by ear but I did come up with some basic meal possibilities.
We’ll go out for his birthday on Thursday. I already bought the movie tickets at the iPic Theater we love so much where you have dinner and a movie. Of course we are members and buy premium seating too. Can’t wait to see GI Joe, have you seen it?
Yesterday we went out and bought a new dishwasher that will be delivered tonight and picked up a new microwave too. Both of our current ones are about to bite the dust so it was time. The next big kitchen purchase has to be a fridge. Lots more saving to do after our summer vacation!
Today I celebrate my birthday! The big 41. I don’t mind getting older, life just gets better and better.
We’ll be going out with friends on Saturday to celebrate. Have you ever been to Seasons 52? I have always wanted to go, so what better time to do it.
This weeks menu will be some of my favorites and even some new recipes I want to try. We will do our best to eat at home every night!
Going to try and use everything we have at home and not do any grocery store stops this week. Picked up a few things at Walmart this weekend like tomatoes and spinach but going to dig in and use what we have at home.
We’ll keep a few things we usually have on the menu plan like breakfast for dinner, veggie burgers and pizza. Here’s the tentative plan.
I have to tell you though the lentil loaf with cauliflower mashed ‘potatoes’ that was on the menu last week turned out AWESOME! Kev loved it and we had leftovers this weekend and it was just as good.
