Quinoa Burgers: Pizza Style

We made one of the best meals we have had in a long time.  It was so tasty we are still talking about it days later.  We made quinoa burgers, pizza style.  So it’s not an actual patty but rather the quinoa served up in the size of one without a top to the sandwich.

I am not the best at photos so don’t hold that against me. One day I’ll figure out how to take good photos but the taste will totally make up for it. I promise!

Honey Crusted Baked Tofu Sticks

You will need:

  • Extra Firm Tofu
  • Honey
  • Panko bread crumbs
  • Black Pepper
  • Other spices of your choice
  1. Drain tofu (I wrapped tofu in towel for only a few minutes to get any excess liquid off).
  2. Line cookie sheet with tin foil and spray with olive oil.

Here’s a video today that comes from Nicole of Pure Bliss Eats and Making Good Choices.  In this video she shares her cauliflower pizza crust recipe.  It looks simple and tasty too.

I really need to work on my food choices (that is another blog post lol). I have been researching and pinning some ideas and want to go through a few books I have as well. The whole goal here though is for the recipe to be easy and have no funky ingredients that I’ll never use again or that I have to go to a specialty store to find.

I was sent The Green Smoothie Bible with 300 delicious recipes to review.  This book is full of yummy yummy goodness.  For those of you who don’t like to eat fruits (like me) or veggies, you can drink them. This book has so many great recipes and also explains the many health benefits of smoothies.

In the book you’ll find out what the big deal is about greens, the protein myth, how green smoothies can help with weight loss and much more.  I’m still reading the book but my favorite part of the book was the tips they gave on the best way to blend green smoothies.  Blend greens and liquid first?  I should have known that trick to make it easier to blend altogether.  Good stuff.
