			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It&#8217;s time to embrace 2010 so I have set some pretty hefty goals for myself of things I quite possibly would like to accomplish this year.</p>
<p><strong>Angie&#8217;s Rockin&#8217; 2010 Healthy Living Personal Goals</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Do a 5k (walking)</li>
<li>Do a 10k (walking)</li>
<li>Learn more about the vegetarian/vegan lifestyles while cutting down on processed foods and eating more whole foods (these are some of the things I will try to focus on: <a title="Resolve to eat right" href="http://blog.wholefoodsmarket.com/2010/01/resolve-to-eat-right/" target="_blank">Resolve to Eat Right</a>)</li>
<li>Lose 50-100 lbs and tons of inches (I would like to fit comfortably in a size 12 by the time we head back to Jamaica in December 2010)</li>
<li>Try new class at the gym</li>
<li>Participate in a different workout challenge every month (whether it&#8217;s my own blog challenge or others)</li>
<li>Strength training/Ab work 3x week</li>
</ul>

<p>I know you&#8217;re used to seeing Menu Plans here on Monday but for the last few weeks it&#8217;s been pretty lame.  Kev and I haven&#8217;t been to the grocery store so we are just flying by the seat of our pants when it comes to meals.  We don&#8217;t have much in the house but I think we are going to try to go through what we do have so it should be an interesting week.</p>
<p>As for motivation, I am ready to get moving again.  Today was good when it came to exercise and meals but I overdid it on the sweet consumption yikes!  Today I walked 20 min. outside and did 40 min. on the elliptical at the gym.  Tomorrow the plan is a 3-5 mile Walk Away the Pounds dvd and walk outside.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m so excited that The Biggest Loser show&#8217;s premier is tomorrow night.  Will you watch?  Although I decided not to follow the goal I had to do The Biggest Loser DVD workouts, I&#8217;m still going to watch the show.  Looking forward to it!</p>
<p>Next Monday 9/21/09, I start the <a title="Fat Loss Quickie program" href="http://www.losingitandlovingit.com/fat-loss-quickie.html" target="_blank">Fat Loss Quickie program</a> and I&#8217;m very nervous ha ha! Scott, the creator of the program has a <a title="home office transformation contest" href="http://fatlossquickie.com/blog/home-office-fitness-transformation-contest-begins-september-21st/" target="_blank">home office fitness transformation contest</a> starting then and I want to be involved so I decided to get in the program.  It&#8217;s free to enter the contest if you become a member of the program.</p>
<p>Many of you ask what my motivation is to keep going and really it&#8217;s because I want to be healthy and eat healthy, I want to get rid of body fat and ultimately have a toned body plus our Jamaican vacations are a big motivation.  I need to keep going!  I have had many set backs and have lost and gained back weight but I know that I am not going to quit and that a lifestyle change takes time.</p>

<p>My Biggest Loser challenge this month is to do at least <strong>3 days a week</strong> of the original <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BQ7J70?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=losingitandlovingit-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B000BQ7J70">The Biggest Loser Workout</a><img style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=losingitandlovingit-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B000BQ7J70" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" />, <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000WEVGHK?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=losingitandlovingit-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B000WEVGHK">Power Sculpt</a><img style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=losingitandlovingit-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B000WEVGHK" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /> and even throw in some of the <a title="30 Day Shred blog category" href="http://losingitandlovingit.com/blog/category/30-day-shred/" target="_blank">30 Day Shred</a>.  I have some of the other DVD&#8217;s on my wish list (like Cardio Max, Boot Camp, Yoga, The Biggest Loser workout Volumn 2 and all of Jillian&#8217;s DVD&#8217;s too ha ha) so maybe if I can grab a few of those, I&#8217;ll add them in as well.</p>
<p>Mom threw out a challenge for our immediate family (mom, dad, uncle, myself and Kev) to lose 20 lbs each by Thanksgiving.  I have various challenges over the next few months so I&#8217;m excited to see how it all plays out.</p>
<p>My goal for September is to lose 8 lbs BUT ultimately inch loss is more important to me so I&#8217;m not going to stress out over weight.  In addition to the 3 days of Biggest Loser workouts, I will also be doing the normal gym routine of 2 days of spin class and 2 days cardio.  There will be at least 2 days a week of strength training too.</p>

<p>*In addition to my 5 days a week of exercise goal I need to make sure I&#8217;m doing at least 2 days strength/core work.</p>
<p>I ordered some new Walk Away the Pounds DVD&#8217;s and they should arrive tomorrow.  The easier of the three will go to my mom for a belated Christmas gift LOL and the other two are FIVE miles each.  I&#8217;m excited to see if I can accomplish those.  I have also won a lot of workout DVD&#8217;s recently so I have to get moving on trying those out too.  As much as I really enjoy working out at the gym, in-home workouts are my favorite!  Mom and Dad are buying me a set of rebounding workout DVD&#8217;s for my b-day coming up April 1st so I&#8217;m totally excited for that.  I have tons of product reviews to get going on my website.  I&#8217;ll be sure to post as they go up.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s time to share my New Year&#8217;s Resolutions for 2009.  I have been going over my weight loss and fitness goals for 2009 the past few days and would like to share.</p>
<p>I would like to lose 50 lbs this year.  My short term goal for that would be to lose at least 4 lbs every month which is the healthy way to go.  I had lost over 80 lbs since 2005 when I first started my new lifestyle but gained back 30+ pounds.  Yesterday I posted about <a title="My Recent Weight Loss Struggles" href="http://losingitandlovingit.com/blog/194/weight-loss-fitness-struggles/" target="_blank">my recent weight loss struggles</a>.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m not going to dwell on the past.  It&#8217;s a NEW YEAR and I&#8217;m ready to go.</p>
<p>My plan is to hit the gym on T/W/Th/Sa/Su with my wonderful hubby.  <a title="Madelyn Fernstrom" href="http://madelynfernstrom.ivillage.com/health/2008/12/new_years_diet_resolutions.html" target="_blank">Madelyn Fernstrom from ivillage health</a> says you should have a &#8216;diet buddy&#8217; and I agree.  The support I get from Kev when we are on the Elliptical and in Spin class keeps me going.  He always pushes me to do better and says kind words along the way.  Everyone should find a &#8216;diet buddy&#8217;.</p>
<p>T/W/Th-cardio<br />
Sa/Su- Spin class and weights</p>
<p>Monday and Friday will be a rest and recover day off from the gym but I will do some form of activity whether it be in-home workouts, Stability Ball work, etc.</p>
<p>I will keep track of my water intake and I&#8217;m pretty sure I&#8217;m going back to keeping a food journal.  I may skip counting calories in the beginning to see if I can manage with just staying accountable to what I eat.</p>
<p>I will weigh in every Monday and post my results on Wednesday.</p>
<p>I will take measurements and photo updates every month and post those to the blog.</p>
<p>A few other goals I have for myself are to follow a few online challenges, sell or donate my &#8216;big&#8217; clothes that are taking space in my closet and I would like to fit into a few pairs of pants/jeans and tank tops that are waiting for me!</p>
<p>I&#8217;m keeping this short because I don&#8217;t want to overwhelm myself at the beginning.</p>

<p><strong>My goal for this week is to workout at least 3x, drink 8-12 glasses of water a day and keep writing in my food journal (more focus on portion control).<br />

<p>I have to do this all during the week because we have other obligations over the weekend and won&#8217;t be able to make it to the gym.  Phooey!</p>
<p>I hope that this is the last week I have to nurse the knee.  This pain is really quite annoying but I&#8217;m hoping for the best.</p>
