Finish What You Start

Persistence

Home this week from the gym and other works because I have pulled a muscle somewhere across the chest area (can’t remember what hubby called it) and it’s painful.  Had to change my ONE personal training sesh this week to next week.  Was really hoping to get there today but it just wasn’t happening.  Doesn’t look like I’ll get my FitBlogger goal in either. Boo!  So to get over feeling down for not being able to workout and learn how to give in and let myself heal, I was reading about the 400 pound man who completed the L.A. marathon last weekend.  I’m sure you have heard of him right?

Dinner. Delish

We had the most delicious dinner tonight, I just had to write about it!  Kev just threw it together…aren’t those the best kinds?

In the first picture (don’t mind me I had already started eating ha ha), you’ll see a small piece of cheesy biscuit bread (not too healthy but oh so good lol), Trader Joe’s frozen Quinoa Duo with vegetable melange and Trader Joe’s frozen Eggplant Cutlets with Hunt’s diced sweet onion tomatoes  and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese on top.  The shredded mozzarella cheese we bought from Whole Foods is the freshest I have ever had.

Then comes the bowl of soup.  This was to die for and I must have it again!  Mushrooms, red peppers, leek, bok choy, Swanson’s vegetarian broth and a little ground black pepper and garlic.  So simple, yet so good.

9 Quirky Things About Me

OK so this little Meme is something a few of us are doing from one of the business groups I’m part of and I thought I would let you get to know me on a much deeper level LOL  Missy over at G34 Media will link to everyone who participates.  So here we go….

9 Quirky Things About Me

1) Toilet paper must be over not under and I have been known to change it in other peoples homes shhh

2) I don’t like the feel of a Koosh ball (remember those?)

3) Fire scares me

4) I do not like the feel of sand (except for the beach in Jamaica)

5) The blower from the furnace must be on or I cannot sleep

6) I love the smell of gasoline

7) In public restrooms I don’t like touching door handles so I use either a paper towel or clothing to open them

8 ) I don’t cook but I like to bake.

9) Not really a quirk but hubby and I have been married 14 years & have celebrated every New Year’s Eve anniversary at BeniHana (except for one we celebrated early because we went to Jamaica)

So there you have it, a few quirky things about me.  If you so desire to participate, feel free to blog about your quirks and come back here to comment and/or link back to this post.

Changes Changes

Embrace

Workouts for the week are nothing to write home about however I am going to be getting back to normal here soon.  I am actually going to start doing more in home workouts while still holding a gym membership.  My last personal training session will be May 4th.  We are in the process of looking for a new gym and I’m pretty sure we found THE one so we’ll be making that transition too possibly doing double membership until my training is done but not quite sure. There have been some things going on at the current gym that we are just not happy with and don’t feel that they deserve our business any longer.  The gym we are looking to join has a TON of neat stuff like a resistance pool, regular pool, beautiful hot tub area, cardio equipment with TV’s (doubt I will use the TV but it’s cool), a spa (hello MASSAGES!) and more. The only problem is that it’s a much more difficult drive for Kev after work to get to the spin classes and it’s about 10 minutes or so more for me with the possibility for major traffic.

In a perfect world there would be a center for just spin/cycle classes and we could turn our garage into a home gym.  I know I’m dreaming!

Moving on to workouts for this past week:

What would you like to see?

As we wind down 2010, I’m thinking of 2011 and YOU!  I would really like to know what you would like to see here on the blog.
Typography: Question Mark

What types of things do you want to learn about?  Do you want more recipes?  More product reviews? Workout tips?

If you have any suggestions, topic ideas, etc. please let me know. You can send me a quick message or post here on the blog.  I’m planning out my blogging calendar for 2011 so I’m also open to guest blog posts, product reviews (I have a few good ones coming up!), interviews or anything else you might want to see.

This week and next will be quiet around here as we’ll be traveling and spending quality time with family.  I’m looking ahead and working on my healthy living goal planning for this next year.  I look forward to what 2011 has in store for all of us.
