Whittle My Middle with Turbulence Training

The Whittle My Middle 30 day challenge (video included) over at Oh She Glows blog sounds like fun so I’m going to do my best to take part.  They started last week but my 30 days starts today.  I’ll complete this challenge the day before we leave for Jamaica so I’m excited to see what I can accomplish until then.  I am having more tooth issues but I am going to just do the best I can and try to not let it bother me.

I took measurements back on November 1st and will measure again on Dec. 17th. Sure hope to lose inches because that will give me the incentive to keep up my workouts while on vacation.

The Whittle My Middle challenge includes these exercises from the Turbulence Training program:

  • Plank
  • Side plank
  • Stability ball plank
  • Stability ball jack knife
  • Stability ball roll out
  • Plank rotations

Of course I might just go ahead and include my 50 stability ball crunches goal in there too.  I haven’t been doing those yikes!

As for my Weekly Weigh-In, I lost another pound!  So here are the stats

Last week’s weight: 236

Current weight: 235
Goal weight: 140
Pounds left to go: 95

Next Wednesday I don’t have plans to check in as we’ll be spending time with family for Thanksgiving so have a great week.  I am going to do my best to try to choose healthier food options AND smaller portions during our family Thanksgiving.

Are you doing the Whittle My Middle challenge?  And did you weigh in this week?

P.S.  So far I’m not meeting my walking mileage goals for the Pile on the Miles challenge BUT I am still working out and getting in as much walking as I can.  So although I’m not going to meet the goal, I’m still moving!

Weekly Weigh In: November 11

It’s been a crazy few months that is for sure.   I’m still pretty bummed that the clothes I have to order for vacation is going to be a size up from what I currently have but I am happy to say that I lost THREE pounds this past week! I have to just keep my eye on the goal and choose my foods wisely.  Major dental work has kept me from my full potential in the workout arena but I do what I can.  So here are the stats for the week.

Last week’s weight: 239

Current weight: 236
Goal weight: 140
Pounds left to go: 96

Still off schedule as far as the workouts were planned however slowly but surely I’ll get back to normal.

Did you weigh in this week?  How are things going?  Check in and stay accountable!

P.S. I’m off to shop online at JcPenney for swimsuits, shorts, capris, etc.  Jamaica can’t come soon enough.

Weekly Weigh In: November 4

I haven’t weighed in for quite some time but I wanted to do so really quick.  I have not lost anything lately but I intend to change that.  Here are my stats

Current weight: 239
Goal weight: 140
Pounds left to go: 99

I AM going to lose that weight.  And inches,  Yes I am!

Anyway, I also wanted to let you know that I need to change my workout schedule around for Nov. because I had no clue that the new program I’m reviewing, Melt It Off would totally kick my butt. HA HA!  It’s absolutely great but I definitely cannot do it on days I have spin.  There is just no way unless I want to hurt myself.

So, I’m trying to figure out my workout plan and I *think* it’s going to look like this

Monday- Walk Away the Pounds and Spin

Tuesday- Melt It Off

Wednesday- Walk Away the Pounds and Spin

Thursday- Melt It Off

Friday- Melt It Off

Saturday- Day Off

Sunday- Spin

Ab/core work daily

We’ll see how this goes!  Tomorrow I have dental work so it doesn’t look like I’ll be getting any exercise in but I sure hope I can work out Friday. That IS the plan anyway.

Hope you’re having a great week!

Weekly Weigh In: August 19

No change this week!  I’m stuck when it comes to the scale but I’m doing good with exercise.  At times I get frustrated that I had done so well before and now I struggle to get back to my lowest.  The food part is honestly the hardest and I just wish I could eat whole foods all the time and not have cravings for the ‘naughty’ stuff.  I know it’s not all bad but for me really it is since I can’t always control myself with it.  I read all of these awesome food blogs and their foods look and sound sooo good but seem so difficult to make or expensive.  I know that buying fresh whole foods is no more expensive than buying processed box foods but it’s the mindset. Oh and their portions are perfect but mine well that is another story.

I’m going to keep trying though, you know me, I won’t give up!

Current weight: 230
Goal weight: 140
Pounds left to go: 90

I did have some fun news come my way today though.  I made it into the Citrimax TOP 100 Diet and Fitness Blog’s list.  I’m #29 in the 3rd section. I’m among some very awesome bloggers there. YEA!

PS.  How did your week go?

Weekly Weigh In: August 12

No change this week!  I’m back into the swing of exercise now I have to plan out my eating and better and watch my portion control.  Drinking lots of water as usual.

Current weight: 230
Goal weight: 140
Pounds left to go: 90

Weekly Weigh In: August 5

No change once again!  I am not OK with it this week LOL  I really was hoping for something since I have been working out a lot and doing better with portion control and food choices.  Hope we see a change by next week that’s for sure.

Current weight: 230
Goal weight: 140
Pounds left to go: 90

Oh and I decided not to start keeping a food journal again.  For now, it’s just too overwhelming and I want to try to keep up with the most important thing to me and that is exercising and be able to watch my portions and choose healthier foods on my own without logging everything I eat.  Who knows, I might have to resort back to the food journal down the road.  We’ll see!

How did you do this week?

Did you hear about the LA Fitness gym shootings in PA last night?  I don’t live in PA but I am a member at LA Fitness here and I’m absolutely sick over it.  I cannot even imagine having to go through that.  It’s just scary.  I pray for everyone affected by that horrible act.
