Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

Don’t forget about the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive this Saturday, May 10th.  We got a postcard in the
mail as a reminder.  You can put out non-perishable food items in a bag and place it by your mailbox.  When your mail carrier arrives they will pick it up and take it to post office and then all foods will be distributed to local food banks.

This is the perfect time to clean out your pantry of non expired/non glass food items.  Items like canned meats, soup, juice, pasta, vegetables, cereal and rice would help families in need.

Weekly Weigh In: May 6

I am going to start checking in on a weekly basis with a weekly weigh in.  I do this on one of my favorite online weight loss/fitness accountability groups, gr8bigglosers and think it would be great to stay accountable here on my blog.

The last three weeks I have had no weight change but am happy to report that since joining the fitness center back on February 1st, I have lost 17 lbs and 11+ inches.  That is exciting!

So my weight at this moment is 194.0

My ultimate goal is to make it down to 135-140 so I have my work cut out for me.

I started out at 270 so I am very proud of how far I have come.

If you would like to weigh in here on Tuesday’s, it would be great to stay accountable to one another.

Make it a great week,

Goal Call Monday

Cindy over at Go Workout Mom has a Goal Call Monday post where you leave a comment with one goal you have for the week and check in by the next Monday to let everyone know how you did with your goal. I hope you’ll check it out and participate too. I posted my goal on her blog.

Go and post your goal(s) for the week and come back here to let me know you did so I can check them out.

Have a successful and healthy week,

Free Bike Giveaway: Fuji Crosstown 2.0 bike

Diana over at Scale Junkie has a really cool giveaway going for a chance to win a Lipton branded Fuji Crosstown 2.0 bike. All you have to do is visit her blog and leave a comment for your chance to win. If you want to double your chance, just post about the giveaway on your blog and comment on her blog (don’t forget to let her know you posted about it to). Easy!

Diana wants to know how winning this bike will help me embrace my youthful spirit. To be honest, Kevin and I just bought bikes for ourselves. He has been wanting one for quite some time and I kept putting it off. I really didn’t want a bike but he was going to get one anyway and after taking my first Spin class a few weeks ago, I had changed my mind. We both got bikes but he settled on a bike and I believe he would really love this Fuji Crosstown 2.0 bike instead and so that is why I am entering. I know by both of us going bike riding together we will be able to embrace our youthful spirit. We have been working out together for a few months now and have increased our energy and have had fun doing it. And winning this bike would work in our favor because my stepson can have the other one and join us for a family bike ride.
