My Workouts for the Week of 8/18-8/24 2008

I don’t have a daily exercise log to share.  I was sick all week and was just starting to feel better this weekend so I took these last two days to totally recuperate before starting my workouts this week.  It was hard taking this time off but I knew if I over did it, I would be in trouble so I took this time to relax and get better.

I did mow the lawn for 45 min. yesterday and burned just about 700 calories.  Back to Turbo Kick class tomorrow.  YEAH!

Daily Reminders

It’s time for your Fit and Healthy Friday Tip.

Today’s Tip:  Daily Reminders

Go over your goals on a daily basis.  If you don’t have your goal(s) listed somewhere, you need to write them down so you have a daily reminder of where you want to be.  If you are more visual, you can use pictures as daily reminders.  Maybe a picture of a water bottle (to remind you to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day), a big healthy salad (to remind you to eat healthy foods), exercise equipment (to remind you to get your exercise in), measuring tape (to remind you that inch loss is more important than the numbers on the scale) or any other items that would remind you daily and keep you motivated to keep going with your healthy lifestyle.

I personally write my long term weight loss/fitness goals in my journal and look at them frequently.  I have a vision board for business purposes and a few pictures on there motivate me every day to keep going with my healthy lifestyle.

Weekly Weigh In: August 20

I skipped my weigh in this week as I have been sick since the weekend.  I’m starting to feel better and I’m looking forward to working out again soon.

I have been working on a fitness plan for myself  and trying to work in Turbo Kick and Spin class, other cardio and weights at the gym, in-home workouts like Turbo Jam, Walk Away the Pounds and all the other fun workouts I have without going overboard.  I’ll have to change it up every week to get in everything.

Goal Call Monday: August 18

This week definitely won’t be a normal week. I am sick and definitely don’t want to overdo it so I’m going to take it easy. I’m bummed because I have the Summer Blog Party Challenge going here on my blog but I have to take care of myself. I’m glad to see I have participants though so I’m totally cheering them on.

We had to skip the gym and spin class this past weekend and I’ll probably go ahead and skip all 3 days of Turbo Kick class this week so my goals for this week are to get better, eat healthy and drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. I’m pretty sure we’ll make it to spin class next weekend if we are better.

Weight Watchers Online Subscription Giveaway

Mel over at A Box Of Chocolates blog has a giveaway opportunity going for a chance to win a Weight Watchers Online subscription.  I personally haven’t had any recent experiences with Weight Watchers but I used to go to local meetings with my mom when I was much younger.  Those were very positive experiences for me so I decided to enter to win this subscription because I would like to be able to review the program for my readers who have asked me what I think about those types of programs and I also think it would be a benefit to my own weight loss endeavors.  What a great opportunity.  You should stop on by Mel’s blog and enter yourself.  That would be cool if one of my readers won.
