Struggling with how to motivate yourself?

Are you struggling with how to motivate yourself?  We all need someone in our life to help motivate us.  Watching the Biggest Loser show for this week was quite emotional for me.  I have had a rough year or so when it came to weight loss and keeping up with my healthy lifestyle and I saw a lot of myself in many of the people that were on the show this past week.

As you all know, my main goal here on this blog is to help motivate others but I’m realizing that I need to find someone who can really motivate me too.  I am so thankful and love that my hubby can do that for me but I also need someone outside of the family and friends who can push me as well. I would give anything to have a local trainer who could work with me to get me back on track.  I have been lucky enough to have a few awesome personal trainers (you know who you are!) give me tips and help me over the years however they have been in other states and it’s just not the same.

I know how to motivate others but lately when it comes to motivating myself I’m having a really hard time.  I know I want to be healthy and lose weight/inches and I have done it before so I know it’s possible but it’s hard.  Ever felt that way?

When it comes to running, I’m struggling the most and Kev just asked me this morning about when we’ll be signing up for a 5k run.  I know I want to do one because I need to make it happen so that I can be properly trained and ready to run the Reggae Marathon 1/2 in December which we have already signed up for.  I’m not worried at all about being the last to cross the finish line but at this point, the most I have run at one time was 2 minutes and I have done that very few times.  I’m not sure why I struggle so much with running because I can do a tough hour long spin class, do kickboxing, 5 mile Walk Away the Pounds, etc. with no problem.  I’m not giving up but I just wish I knew why this running stuff is so tough for me.

I’m glad to be back blogging.  Been away traveling for over 15 days and ready to kick it up a notch.  Hope everyone is doing well.
