How to Stay Hydrated Throughout the Day

How to Stay Hydrated

It’s very important to keep yourself hydrated. By drinking water before you even become thirsty, you can almost guarantee that you won’t ever end up dehydrated.

It’s really important to stay hydrated before, during and after a workout or any type of exercise. I usually drink at least 3 cups of water an hour or so before exercising, another cup or more right before I workout and several more during and after workouts.

It might seem excessive but I don’t like the feeling of dehydration.  It’s also not safe to even get to that point.  Here is a list of a few potential symptoms of dehydration.

Personal Training Rocks

Well, this week did not end how I had imagined.  I had good intentions to workout today but I have slept most of the day.  I am sick with a fever! UGH  I’m sure it has something to do with the late night out at the ball game and girl stuff.  I was on a good roll this week and just have to give my body some rest time.

This week my goal is to exercise M-F because we have a jam packed full weekend ahead with family stuff, a wedding, etc.  I doubt I’ll have any extra time to exercise so I need to make it happen during the week.

Kushyfoot Giveaway

Happy Wednesday!  Got a quick giveaway for you from the Kushyfoot company.  “Kushyfoot is the first hosiery brand to incorporate the ancient healing art of Reflexology in trouser and knee highs, foot covers, toe covers, athletic socks, tights and men’s socks to massage with every step.”

I was sent two products for review however they didn’t fit my interest so I have no personal experience with them BUT I did ask them if I could do a giveaway of the products on my blog so that those of you who might have interest could enter to win them.  They loved the idea!

Smoothie Fail

This morning was a smoothie fail.  I mixed up some chocolate hemp protein powder with almond milk, peanut butter and strawberries and it was awful. Not only was the taste not good, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to mix/blend this protein powder so the little chalky clumps go away.

I have tried everything:  the Blender Bottle cup, the Magic Bullet blender/mixer and even just stirring with a spoon.  I even changed up the order I put the milk and powder in together.  No luck whatsoever.  I will not be getting this protein powder again.

Bootcamp Round 3: Coming Up!

Before I share my workouts for the week, I wanted to let you know that Tina has the dates set for round 3 of her Best Body Bootcamp.  I have participated in both so far and it’s so motivating to keep me going on the right path. And having her as my online personal trainer doesn’t hurt either.  She’s awesome!

Just think of how this 3rd one will really help get through the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. It ends the week before Christmas! Go mark your calendars so you don’t forget to sign up on Monday, Sept. 17th.
