A Sad Week

Daily workout logIt’s been such a sad week all over the world.  I have honestly been glued to the TV and CNN online.  I did get in workouts but they were definitely not as good as I would have liked them to be.  I will work harder this coming week!

I just want to say that I have been thinking of all of you who participated in the Boston Marathon.  I honestly don’t even know what to say.  I cried a lot this week and my heart broke for so many people.

Spring Is Coming

Workouts Week of April 8 2013Had a great week of workouts!  I only took one day off but I am exhausted now.

It was really nice to go on a long walk with hubby today.  The weather, although a bit chilly was very nice so we had a blast.

Took some great pictures, saw lots of cute doggies. Meant to do my daily video there but totally forgot.  So I’m off to go do that!

Spring is trying to peek through here in Chicagoland.  They keep going back and forth with snow forecast but I’m keeping my fingers crossed it’s done.

Let’s Rock April

This week I celebrated my 41st birthday and along with that came a few April fitness challenges. Best Body Bootcamp, the Polar ambassador challenge and the 100 miles challenge all started this week. Not to mention one of those picture a day challenges #HealthyBalance on Instagram.

I worked out hard this week and it felt great.  I actually just realized that I worked out SIX days.  Looking forward to another great week! Here are my workouts for the week:

Pulled Arm Muscle OUCH

Pulled Arm MuscleOnce again the week started out good…..then went down hill. I did a move in one of the workouts and strained/pulled a muscle in my left arm.  I’ll never do that move again.

But I decided that since I was starting Best Body Bootcamp and the Polar Ambassador challenge tomorrow, April 1st that I should take it a bit easy. Not that I could do much with my arm anyway.

Daily Workout Log for the Week

Daily workout logThis week didn’t turn out at all how I envisioned when it came to workouts but I just keep going.  I did fine until Friday & Saturday.  My normal day off was Thursday but then I fell off the next two days.  I had good intentions for a Sat. workout but we had to do taxes and run errands afterwards.  So I did not fit it in.

The workouts I did do were decent and I felt good after them.  This is my last week until Best Body Bootcamp starts, April 1st on my birthday whoo hoo!  And some of us Polar ambassadors are having a calorie burning challenge amongst ourselves in April so I need to kick some bootay.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

workouts March 11 2013I will call this week successful when it comes to workouts.  This week I worked out 6 days and took 1 rest day.  I enjoyed my workouts and look forward to the next round of Best Body Bootcamp coming up April 1st.

I’m searching for April challenges too so I’ll report back with what I find.  I’m also on the hunt for online personal trainers that are accepting clients.  Those two blog posts are in the works so if you have any info for either, it would be appreciated.

On to my workouts for the week. My favorite workout was spinning and I enjoyed the lower body workout I did on Friday.
